Update: MORE questions for co-founder of Scottish VIG

There has been quite the interest in yesterday’s article regarding the Scottish Vaccine Injury Group’s Ruth O’Rafferty—not to mention a bizarre phone call + instant hangup from the co-founder herself—and here we provide one such communication received.

There’s something clearly amiss at the Scottish VIG.

Dear DoD,

Loved the article. Thank you. Why; because Ruth also manipulated myself and others and has removed people over time from a so called “support group”, how can it be called a “support group” when there is a clear abuse of power by this woman?

Dear Ruth has caused myself and others a lot of stress with bullying and harassment over phone calls or online messages about a number of things whenever any issues were brought to her attention. I personally found her almost Jekyll and Hyde like!!

Anyway I was interested in the complaints documents you mentioned as previously saw this on Facebook a while ago last year and when I approached Ruth on this subject it, she steered me off in the opposite direction advising it was best I just wait as other things were in the works and she clearly had trust issues with sharing information. With my own confirmed vaccine injuries I can’t specifically remember a lot about certain events but I do know that I wish I had that information you had offered to at least give me a fighting chance if or whenever it could be used in the future.

Ruth really did have an adverse effect on my mental health making me feel guilty when asking for help, ironically whenever I challenged her on how she was handling conversations she would gaslight me and suggest I needed support for my own mental health!! Having experienced being gaslit by medical professionals since 2021, Ruth herself made me feel the very same on many occasions.

Thank you again DoD for posting this article, it was long overdue and I really do feel for many other members of SVIG either being unaware of the tactics employed and abuse that has gone on far too long or who are suffering in silence who may be afraid to speak out in fear of being cut off when they may have no other channels available for support.

Take care,

A former SVIG member.

Dear Ruth—Do you still stand behind those damaging decisions that clearly did not go down well with many in the Scottish VIG? We reach out once again to and urge that you contact DoD in writing to set the record straight.

Any response will be posted unedited in its entirety.
