Dent in the System

Open letter to Dumfries & Galloway Constabulary

We had planned on launching this series of articles in a completely different way, but sometimes unexpected events can transpire, conspire, and overtake original plans, thereby necessitating an alternative and often reactive approach.

This is one such occasion. We had our crosshairs almost on the bullseye for the introductory article about a local man and claims of misconduct against Dumfries & Galloway’s public officials, especially those of the region’s police; however, after this most recent allegation we thought it best that we adjust our sights and pull the trigger without delay.

Below is our hastily-written letter to Police Scotland. We will update you with any response, should Police Scotland so condescend…

Dear Police Scotland,

We are Declaration of Dumfries, which, as you may or may not know, is a small news outlet in the region publishing articles and covering stories that local publications wouldn’t touch with the proverbial barge pole.

Here at the Declaration we always grant a right of reply, and the reason we are getting in touch is to ask if you can confirm or deny whether Police Scotland is planning an armed raid on the home of Michael Dent, as claimed on a recent post on Michael’s Facebook page?

We are currently working on an article about police corruption, criminal conduct & victimisation, as well as gross misconduct including perverting the course of justice; not just the corruption and misconduct that Police Scotland carries out on a daily basis against the people of this country, but specifically Michael Dent’s story here in Dumfries & Galloway.

Michael claims he has been subjected to Police Scotland’s particular brand of abuse for some time now, including amongst other things the unjustified destruction and malicious theft of products and equipment belonging to Michael’s perfectly legitimate medical marijuana business.

Michael has passed onto us a fair amount of supporting documentation regarding that malicious misconduct and other criminal acts by Dumfries & Galloway’s constabulary, as well as other public officials.

We would be grateful for any information or confirmation you can provide.

In the meantime, to help you understand Declaration of Dumfries and what we are all about, please feel free to take a look at our website and Facebook page.

We look forward to hearing from you.
